4. Our services
When you engage GMFS for paid advisory services, the specific terms of that engagement (scope, deliverables, fees, timeline, payment terms) are set out in a separate service agreement. These Terms apply in addition to that agreement; in case of conflict, the service agreement prevails.
5. Pricing and payment
- Pricing is quoted in GHS, NGN, or USD depending on client location
- Payment terms are defined in the service agreement
- We typically require 50 per cent upfront and 50 per cent on delivery
- Late payment may attract late fees as specified in the service agreement
- Refunds are governed by Section 6 below
6. Refunds
- Consultation calls: free, no refund applicable
- Digital products purchased via Selar: non-refundable once access has been granted, except where required by law. Selar’s own refund policy also applies.
- Paid services: once work has commenced, deposits are non-refundable. Pro-rated refunds may be considered for unstarted work, at our discretion.
7. Intellectual property
All content on gibsonmayofinancials.com, including written work, illustrations, design, logos, and brand elements, is the property of Gibson Mayo Financial Services, except where attributed to others.
You may:
- Read, share, and reference our content with proper attribution
- Quote brief excerpts in commentary or critique
You may not:
- Reproduce our content commercially without written permission
- Modify and republish our content as your own
- Use our brand, logo, or business name in a way that suggests endorsement
When we deliver work product to a client (financial reports, models, recommendations), the client receives a perpetual licence to use that work product for their business. Underlying templates, methodologies, and frameworks remain GMFS’s intellectual property.

Our site links to external services (Calendly, WhatsApp, Selar, social platforms). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of these third-party services. Use of those services is subject to their own terms.

10. Limitation of liability

- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages (lost profits, lost business opportunities, etc.)
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law
11. Termination
Either party may terminate an engagement in line with the relevant service agreement. We may suspend access to our website or services if you breach these Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by:
- The laws of Ghana for clients based in Ghana, and as the default governing law for our website
- The laws of Nigeria for clients based in Nigeria, where specifically agreed in writing
Disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If unresolved, disputes will be referred to mediation, then to courts of competent jurisdiction in Accra, Ghana (or Lagos, Nigeria for Nigerian client engagements).
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the current version. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
